It is very pertinent to be informed that there are some courses that one can no longer study in Nigerian polytechnics.
This is coming in as an effect of the implementation of the Federal Government directive that Higher National Diploma (HND) certificate should be scrapped and be replaced with Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).
The directive which was pronounced on 6th of June, 2018, scrapped HND and non-technical programmes in Nigerian Polytechnics.
This simply illustrates that non-technical courses will no longer be available to be studies in Nigerian polytechnics.
Nevertheless, courses that are Technology-based can still be studied but those that are otherwise would be scraped.
We’ve made available these list of courses you can no longer study in Nigerian polytechnics right below.

1. Business Administration
2. Banking and Finance
3. Secretariat studies
4. Accounting
5. Hospitality Management
6. Public Administration
7. Estate Management
8. Fine Art
9. Home and Rural Economics
10. Insurance
11. Marketing
12. Nutrition And Dietetics
13. Wildlife And Eco-Tourism
14. Fishery
15. Leisure And Tourism Management. Nevertheless, students who are still studying any of these courses at the ND level would not be allowed to pursue a HND certificate in the field.
