Olamide and Phyno receive Sun Award for creative personality of the year

The two Nigerian rap kings, Olamide Badoo and Phyno Alobam, have both dominated the Western and Eastern part of Nigeria simultaneously when it comes to indigenous rap music. Yoruba rap lovers cannot do a day without listening to one of Badoo’s jams, which he says is meant for the streets. On the other hand, the Eastern-Nigerian rap music addicts would always tell you that Phyno rules the world of indigenous Igbo rap music.
But in all these, no sort of competition has risen between the two rap lords. Instead, the duo has gotten much acquainted with each other and have done a couple of songs together over time. Their relationship has grown past the level of mere colleagues in the industry to something more like a strong brotherhood. Having clung to each other like bread and butter all these years, they couldn’t help but build a glowing personality for themselves.
They have been noticed to be overly creative in their songs and were deemed fit of an award of honor. The Enugu-State born rapper took to his Instagram to post a picture of the awards he and Olamide received for being the most creative personalities of the year. The “Alobam” crooner captioned it: “Thank you SUN AWARDS.” Big ups to them.
